P6 Years
The beginning years for Chris as a racer, P6 provided outboard power and a tailored craft to conquer the Bristol channel.
P3 Years
Often a favourite in the Round the Island race in P3,
A perennial contender in the Cowes to Torquay race, a favourite for racers and fans alike.
Cirrus Years,
Cirrus Stiletto and Cirrus Powerboats Limited based in Hampshire first witnessed Chris racing in the late 1970s and was so impressed with his skill set on the ocean he approached Chris to become a racer for his Cirrus brand.
As the 1980s start to come to an end, Fatherhood took over and the schedule of a racer took a back seat to introducing his sons to the family passion for boating, the ocean and the dream of FDS became a reality.
Dark Star Years,
Flying Dark Star, built by hand by Chris, FDS become a lifetime vision come to life. Chris engineered and built the vessel from start to finish. FDS was a pleasure vessel power by a V8 Volvo Penta petrol engine. FDS became well know in North Devon for its acceleration, smooth powerful ride and for its bespoke stainless steel exhausts providing a loud and energising start up sound (designed and manufacturer by Chris himself).
Towing Years,
The transport years, during the mid 1980's Chris's ability with loading, transporting and slipping boats became know, based on the interest Chris started a transport business as a side income for his family. This lead to sharing knowledge on how to move, transport and store small to mid size boats. Chris grew a fondness for the Land Rover Defender during this time as the LRD provided a superb and enjoyable towing experience.
Retirement Years,
Post racing years, in his later years Chris took pride in rebuilding and sailing a Wayfarer yacht around the inlets of the Atlantic in North Devon.
Christopher Weaver had two sons with his wife Linda Weaver who were raised on the water at the Royal North Devon Yacht Club in Instow, Devon. Ross becoming an experienced and accomplished sailor, racing mirrors and lasers, winning through the teenage years before switching over to power racing as an adult. During the childhood years both enjoyed the pleasure, power and enjoyment of Flying Dark Star. Each helping to maintain her and enjoy learning how boats operate. Ross became an accomplished pilot on her in the early 2000s.
Ross Weaver, still resides in Devon and boats for pleasure with family enjoying the Atlantic Ocean for runabouts, racing and fishing.
Luke Weaver, now resides in the USA and boats on a freshwater lake in Wisconsin with family. Luke is the founder of Kecca Sail + Power Club.
Morgan Weaver, daughter of Luke and Sarah is a budding sailor and racer, enjoying all elements of freshwater lake life.

CW Saltwater Racing pays homage to the legendary saltwater racer Christopher Weaver. The Weaver family's passion for boating is reflected in the quality time and actions on the water today by Chris's two sons Ross and Luke.
As CW Saltwater Racing, we promise to focus on the future whilst remembering the past and sharing all the lessons learnt with the next group of boaters, racers, sailors and water enthusiasts.
